MathSnap SAT ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and an optional display name.
We store your practice progress locally on your device — including questions answered, scores, streaks, and topic performance. This data is not uploaded to our servers.
When you use the Camera Snap feature, the math problem text or image you submit is sent to our secure backend and processed by Anthropic's Claude AI. We do not store these images or problems after the solution is returned.
Your selected profile icon is stored locally on your device only.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

MathSnap requests access to your camera and photo library solely to let you photograph math problems for AI solving. We request microphone access for optional voice features. We do not record, store, or transmit camera or audio data beyond what is needed to process your request.
MathSnap SAT is designed for high school students preparing for the SAT (typically ages 14 and older). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use this app without parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with their information, please contact us at mathsnapsat@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
Your account data (email and display name) is stored in our database for as long as your account is active.
You can delete your account at any time:
Home screen → tap profile icon → Delete Account → confirm.
This permanently deletes your account and all associated data from our database. Local progress data is also cleared from your device.
We use Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant database provider, to store account data securely. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
We do not store payment information — all purchases are handled by Apple.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
